The Welsh Hip Hop Festival /Roxe Jam set up in 2007 by Lou Lockwood as memorial to her son Bill aka Roxe a young writer, who died in a road accident.
This event highlights and brings together all elements of hip hop culture as a two day free event in one of the capitals largest city parks with support from Cardiff Council and with the help countless Welsh hip hop artists who are performing for the love.
The main highlight of the ROXE JAM is the monster 140m graffiti art wall which was made legal for the event through the Roxe foundation, this has given writers all over the city the opportunity to paint Cardiff city`s BIGGEST hall of fame.
During this event the wall will be transformed by an array of local writers along with some of the UK`s top graffiti artists, to create a colossal piece of public art.
Alongside there with be live musical and dance performances from a host of Bboys, Dj`s, Beat boxers and Mc`s from the cream of Cardiff hip hop plus many special guests from all over the UK.
With a month of youth workshop sessions leading up to the event to cover all aspects of hip hop culture lead by local artists to harness the youth of Wales and give these young artists the special chance to perform live on the day…each one teach one.
